Children think about God; they wonder who he is. They want to know if he is real and what he is like. They ask questions like  "Where does everything go when it dies?" and Where did the world come from? They wonder where God came from.

This easy-to-read, 2nd-grade-level reading picture book is designed to answer some of the questions Children think about. It also provides Bible verses for parents to help answer questions about God, ensuring that the content is accessible and understandable for young readers.

"Do You Wonder About God" is not just a book, but a practical resource for shared reading between parents and children. Its straightforward approach and engaging content make it an excellent tool for exploring questions about God together.

“Do You Wonder About God” is an accessible and engaging picture filled book for younger readers and older readers.  The cited scriptures are written at a 5th to 7th-grade reading level with the story written on 2nd grade level. The book is organized in a way that is easy to follow, with alternating pages of story and supporting scriptures.

Two reading levels with simple sentence structures and vocabulary on one page, that is expanded in depth with more complex sentences and vocabulary on the following page help children to increase understanding of varied sentence structures, and new vocabulary.

The chapters tell the story of a perfect world destroyed and restored, of an all-powerful and timeless God who KNOWS and LOVES each child.  The journey from the beginning of the world in Genesis, through the fall of Satan, to the entry of eternal Life in Revelation, when the Lamb’s Book of Life is opened, is explained in a way that is both informative and accessible.

The Bible teaches that God is the source of wisdom and the Bible is a tool for learning wisdom.  Chapter 1 in the book of Proverbs tells us to seek wisdom.

                                        "The proverbs of Solomon, the son of David, king of Israel:

                                                       2 to know wisdom and instruction;
                                              to discern the words of understanding;
                                                       3 to receive instruction in wise dealing,
                                             in righteousness, justice, and equity;
                                                      4 to give prudence to the simple,
                                             knowledge and discretion to the young man—  "

 Suggestions for ways to introduce children to Bible Stories.

1. Read children's books about God and Jesus.

2. Read the Bible with and to your children. Choose an easy-to-read and understand version like the "Good News Bible"  and pair it with a standard version like the "King James Version" to help children see language for the same message expressed in two ways.

3.Introduce them to the how the  Bible is organized:

  • Books, chapters, and verses.
  • Two parts: The Old Testament and the New Testament.
  • Table of contents and Index or Concordance.
  • History before the birth of Christ, and after the birth of Christ.
  • Books of songs and poetry [Psalms and Proverbs]
